Subjunctive tenses: present tense

Subjunctive tense can be very challenging to English speakers. I believe this is mainly because it does not exist in English. How do you explain that there is a tense that will change conjugations based on what may happen, what will happen (but you are not sure), what could happen…..etc! It can be very confusing. I had a fellow teacher describe it as the “imaginary tense”, and I have to agree! Regardless of how you explain the tense to your class, making sure that they have a solid grasp on its use and CONJUGATION, it’s super important!!!! Subjunctive also come in many different tenses. I often tell my students that it comes with listening, speaking, and hearing Spanish constantly. Listening to music with subjunctive tense also helps.
