How many teachers or learners begin learning a language with greetings and common phrases? I believe that this is a good way for students to quickly learn how the language sounds, and give them a peek into what they will be learning! Knowing greetings is one of the most important first steps in learning any language also because it allows learners to immediately connect and interact with others in a polite, friendly way. Greetings are often the first words exchanged in any conversation, making them essential for building confidence and breaking the ice with native speakers. Building confidence is ESSENTIAL in language learning! Greetings also help students learn cultural norms, and help them to which helps learners avoid misunderstandings. By mastering greetings early, language learners gain a quick, practical tool for real-life communication, motivating them to continue learning and deepening their understanding of the culture tied to the language.
